SUBJECT: PILOT IMPLEMENTATION OF FLEXIBLE WORKING HOURS
In line with XXXXXX aspiration to create ownership, trust, empowerment and work-life balance organizational culture, we are pleased to inform that the Company has approved a pilot implementation of flexible working hours. This approval is for all Malaysia-based employees with normal work hours, excluding those who are on shift, working off-shore and/or those governed by pre-determined work schedules.
The pilot implementation of flexible working hours will take effect from 1 April 2011 to 30 June 2011. Throughout this 3-month pilot roll-out, evaluation will be conducted to assess whether flexible work hours could be institutionalized Group-wide.
The general concept of flexible working hours is as per Attachment 1.
A series of engagement and communication sessions will be conducted by your BU/OPU/HCU HR Heads & HR Account Managers prior to the pilot implementation. As the flexible working hours is a PROVISION and NOT AN ENTITLEMENT, all staff are required to discuss and obtain approval from superiors to exercise the flexible working hours provision, before 1 April 2011.
Further to this, the pilot implementation guidelines for superiors and staff are as per Attachments 2(i) & 2(ii).
We hope that the pilot implementation of flexible working hours is another milestone to create a work-life balance organizational culture that will improve staff motivation and retentions, and increase engagements, in supporting XXXXX performance and growth.
